We hold personal data in two different roles
The distinction matters, because different rules apply to each.
As controller, for this website, for early-access requests and for the accounts of the people who sign in to Weave. We decide what to collect and why, and this notice governs it.
As processor, for the business data Weave moves between a customer's Business Central and its warehouse system. Most of it is not personal data at all: articles, quantities, orders and receipts. Two parts are. Sales orders sent to the warehouse carry the delivery details of our customer's own customers, because the warehouse needs them to deliver. And a warehouse event may carry the identifier of the warehouse operator who handled it. The customer is the controller and the data processing agreement governs that.
This website
No cookies, and nothing stored in your browser. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font service. Page views and button clicks are counted by our host, Vercel, without cookies or any identifier that persists between visits. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for delivery and security. Those are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.
When you request early access, the details you submit (name, work email, company, your side of the warehouse and any notes) are delivered to hello@weavebc.com by FormSubmit, a form-to-email service. We use them to reply to you and to onboard your company.
What we collect when you use Weave
- Account details. Your name, email address and Microsoft account identifier, passed to us by Microsoft when you sign in, and a session. Weave never sees or stores a password. The Weave application sets the cookies its Microsoft sign-in needs to keep you signed in; this website sets none.
- Membership. Which companies you were given access to, and your role in each.
- What was done. An audit log of every request Weave made to Business Central and the warehouse and the answer it got, and of the actions people take, such as marking an exception fixed.
- Warehouse and order data. Handled under the processing agreement, not this notice.
- What you write to us. Email you send, and anything in it.
Why, and on what basis
- To provide the service under our contract with you (GDPR Art 6(1)(b)).
- To keep it secure and working, and to keep the audit log, on legitimate interests (Art 6(1)(f)). Our interest is running an integration that can show what it posted to an accounting system and why.
- To answer an early-access request, on legitimate interests (Art 6(1)(f)): you asked us to.
- To meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping (Art 6(1)(c)).
We do not sell personal data, we do not advertise, and we do not use your data or your customers' data to profile anyone or to train any model.
Who else processes it
A small number of service providers, each listed with its purpose and location on the sub-processors page. We do not share personal data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Where it is held
The Weave application and its database run in the European Union, in Frankfurt. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and the sub-processors page says which providers that is.
How long we keep it
- Account and membership records: while your company uses Weave, and deleted when you or your company ask, unless the law says we must keep them.
- Warehouse and order data: as the processing agreement says.
- Early-access requests and email: 24 months.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, and ask for it in a portable format. Write to hello@weavebc.com and we will answer within a month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, imy.se. We would rather you told us first.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that affects you, we will say so by email before it takes effect rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
